Longview Habitat for Humanity
Habitat homes are built with the labor of the future homeowners and community volunteers - of all ages, talents, and skill levels. Most volunteers come to our work sites as members of a group (church, school, civic). But many individuals catch "Habititus" and become regulars on our Saturday or Wednesday morning crews.

Longview HFH Volunteer Opportunities

Construction
Available Wednesdays and Saturdays. Habitat provides training and skilled supervisors (and always needs more!) so that our homes are well built and volunteers have a positive, safe experience. No children under the age of 16 are allowed on the construction sites. Let us know what your skills and/or interests are; we'll put you to work!
Complete the on-line registration to register as a volunteer.

The Habitat ReSTORE
Our ReStore has volunteer opportunities available including re-stocking sales merchandise, organizing departmental inventory, cleaning, assisting with pick ups of donated items, and assisting customers with locating merchandise.  Email Restore@longviewhabitat.org for more information or complete the on-line registration.

Office Volunteers
It takes a lot more than hammering to provide families in need with decent and affordable homes. Habitat relies on volunteers to help with all those non-glamorous, but just as necessary and important, tasks needed to run any organization. Office volunteers perform a wide range of administrative tasks in support of Habitat’s business responsibilities.  Duties may include filing, answering phones, greeting the public, preparing mailings, and/or data entry.  Office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Complete the on-line registration

Provide Worksite Lunches
Provide a lunch for construction work crews.  It can be simple, like sandwiches, you can cook & deliver, or you can bring a grill to the site and cook out. This can be a great opportunity for faith, civic, families or youth groups.
