Habitat relies on volunteers to help with all those non-glamorous, but just as necessary and important, tasks needed to run any organization. Regular time slots or as needed. - General Office
Answer the phone, process the mail, make copies, file, etc.
- Data Entry
Help update our computer records; experience with QuickBooks and/or Microsoft Access
- Bulk Mailing
Help get our quarterly newsletters and other mailings ready.
- Writing, Video, Photography
Write articles, take photos for "Raise the Roof" which is our newsletter. Use your video talents to record and produce features of Habitat activities.
- Special Events
Help plan and conduct volunteer recognition and house dedication events
- Public Speaking
Help spread the Good News of Habitat by speaking to civic groups, churches, etc
- Site Host
A great way to be on the building site without "working". Greet and register workers, help with safety, drinks, and snacks. Assist Site Supervisor.
- ReSTORE Warehouse
Pick up donated items and help keep warehouse organized. Click here for more information about volunteer opportunities in our ReSTORE.
- Food
Help solicit and coordinate snacks and lunches for our work crews.
- Church Liaison
Work with the Church Relations committee to create and strengthen Habitat's partnership with your church.
